Woman Injures Three in Third Poland School Knife Attack

A 21‑year‑old woman has been arrested after stabbing three people during a third school attack this week in Warsaw.
The attacker used a “dangerous object” to target a 17‑year‑old girl in an educational facility in the capital, police said.
The incident follows two earlier knife attacks that resulted in the fatality of a female caretaker and injured several students across Poland.
Polish authorities confirmed that the wounded 17‑year‑old was transported to a hospital, but her condition was not life‑threatening.
The attacker was a student at the school and authorities believe she did not know the victims. Police are investigating possible ties to an online challenge that has surfaced this week.
Police also detained 76 people after patrolling schools nationwide, while Prime Minister Donald Tusk warned that “there is no room for compromise” on children’s safety.
A 19‑year‑old student attacked nine people on Wednesday at a vocational school in the Mazovian province, and the next day a 37‑year‑old caretaker was killed when a 15‑year‑old entered a primary school in Leszczydół‑Nowiny.
Interior Minister Marcin Kierwiński reported the detention of a 17‑year‑old in Sierpc after threats of violence on school grounds. Authorities continue to probe whether the attacks are connected.
