Russian military drones have struck Kyiv’s Northern Bridge, the second significant crossing in the city to be damaged this week, according to mayor Vitali Klitschko.

The attack reportedly left the road surface fractured and knocked out trolleybus overhead wires, forcing a temporary closure of the bridge and disrupting east‑west traffic across the Dnipro River.

This comes after the Southern Bridge was repeatedly targeted beginning Thursday, signalling a new strategic level in Moscow’s campaign to disrupt Kyiv’s critical infrastructure.

Klitschko warned that Russia’s intensified drone and missile strikes were "tearing Kyiv apart" and described the city’s situation as "very dramatic," as the attackers focus on logistics, housing and other key facilities.

"The city is under a dramatic humanitarian, commercial and humanitarian strain as Moscow battering critical infrastructure," the mayor said on Telegram, noting the ongoing emergency response.
