Twelve people have been killed by a Russian drone strike near a company shuttle bus in eastern Ukraine, a regional official has said.

Preliminary information from the Pavlohrad district reported that seven others were injured by the strike. Regional military administration chief Oleksandr Ganzha shared updates via Telegram, stating, We are investigating the details. An air alert is ongoing in the region.

Energy company DTEK confirmed that the vehicle had been carrying its workers from a mine in the area, labeling the incident a targeted attack. They reported that fifteen people might have died due to the assault.

This incident follows earlier attacks, including a drone strike on a maternity hospital in Zaporizhzhia, which resulted in six injuries.

The conflict in Ukraine remains intense, with reports of civilian casualties and targeted assaults affecting daily life amid harsh winter conditions.
