Ella Langley Cancels Tulsa Concert Amid Security Threat

The 27‑year‑old US country star called off a sold‑out show at Tulsa’s BOK Center after receiving a phone call that warned of shots and bombs at the event. The decision was made only about two hours before the 19,000‑seat arena was set to open.

Police spokesman Captain Richard Meulenberg said the caller threatened “great harm” and that he had instructed officers to conduct another security sweep. Despite the presence of sniffer dogs and a thorough inspection, the department reported no credible threat and called the interruption a false alarm.

In a post on Instagram, Langley expressed that cancelling was an “incredibly difficult” choice made for the safety of fans, venue staff, and her own team. She apologized for the disappointment and promised details about ticket refunds as soon as possible.

The BOK Center issued a statement confirming that the safety of all attendees was its priority and that the event could not proceed. The venue also thanked fans for their understanding and regret for the inconvenience.

Langley’s recent chart‑recording success, including the number one smash “Choosin’ Texas,” has seen her sweep the Academy of Country Music Awards this year. The sudden cancellation highlights the ongoing challenges faced by performers and venues in balancing spectacle with security.
