An investigation has been initiated into the tragic death of French streamer Raphaël Graven, who gained notoriety for performing extreme challenges online. Known by his pseudonym Jeanpormanove, the 46-year-old was discovered dead at his home in Contes, near Nice, during a live broadcast, as reported by local officials. Graven had been subjected to episodes of violence and sleep deprivation as part of his streaming persona, which adds a chilling context to his untimely demise.

French government minister Clara Chappaz has publicly condemned the circumstances surrounding Graven's death, labeling the violence he faced as an "absolute horror." Chappaz emphasized that he had endured months of humiliation and suffering while seeking to entertain his audience.

The streaming platform Kick, where Graven had amassed a dedicated following, stated in a recent press release that they were "urgently reviewing" the events leading up to his death. They expressed profound sadness over the loss of Jeanpormanove, extending condolences to his family and fans, and reiterated their commitment to ensuring community guidelines are upheld.

Addressing the incident, Sarah El Haïry, France's High Commissioner for Children, highlighted the responsibilities of online platforms in regulating content to protect vulnerable viewers from exposure to harmful material. She urged parents to be vigilant regarding their children's online activities, especially in light of the incident.

Meanwhile, the prosecutor's office has confirmed that an autopsy has been ordered to determine the exact cause of Graven's death, which has sent shockwaves throughout the streaming community. With over a million followers across his social media accounts, Graven's influence was substantial, leaving many in mourning following the news of his passing.

His co-creator, Naruto, paid tribute on Instagram, urging the community to honor Graven’s memory by not sharing graphic footage from the stream. Fellow streamer Owen Cenazandotti also requested that followers refrain from disseminating videos of Graven’s final moments, calling for respect and privacy during this difficult time.
