In a heartfelt memorial service held in Red Lion, Pennsylvania, hundreds gathered to pay their respects to Detectives Cody Becker, Mark Baker, and Isaiah Emenheiser, who were shot and killed during an ambush while responding to a stalking case. The service, attended by police officers from various departments, was marked by emotional eulogies that celebrated the lives and careers of the fallen officers.

Northern Regional Police Chief David L. Lash described the detectives as heroes, stating, They confronted some of the most evil human behaviors imaginable. And not only did they face those challenges, they did so while holding fast to faith, compassion, and uncompromising honor.

Autopsy results released this week indicated that all three officers died from multiple gunshot wounds, highlighting the tragic nature of the incident. The stalking suspect, identified as 24-year-old Matthew James Ruth, ambushed the officers as they tried to enter the woman's home, leading to a fatal exchange of gunfire where he was also killed.

Detective Becker, remembered for his bravery and dedication, was noted for rescuing children from a burning building years ago. Detective Baker, a computer forensics specialist, was an Eagle Scout and active in his community. Detective Emenheiser, described as a mentor, was commended for his commitment to his family and community and had been an officer of the year.

During the service, heartfelt stories were shared by family members, showcasing their cherished memories and the lasting impact the officers had on their loved ones. The community continues to mourn the loss of these heroes, with plans for a public funeral service scheduled to take place at a local high school in the coming days.
