A U.S. Secret Service agent assigned to protect former first lady Jill Biden accidentally shot himself in the leg at Philadelphia International Airport on Friday, authorities reported. At the time of the incident, Biden was not in the vicinity. The Secret Service spokesman, Anthony Guglielmi, indicated that the injury resulted from a 'negligent discharge' of the agent's firearm. According to Officer Tanya Little of the Philadelphia Police, the mishap took place shortly before 9 a.m. while the agent was traveling in an unmarked vehicle. Following the shooting, fellow law enforcement officers arrived to assist the injured agent, who was subsequently taken to a local hospital. Fortunately, he is reported to be in stable condition.
