Third attempt to rescue stranded shark in South Korea

A massive 3‑metre shark, nicknamed Bukangi, remained trapped in a narrow canal in the southeastern city of Busan, drawing a flood of onlookers as rescuers try again to guide it back to the sea.
The 9‑foot 10‑inch female was first spotted last month, and since then authorities have mounted two previous attempts to herd her toward the open water using nets and iron ropes.
Experts suggest that unusually warm water and an abundance of fish in the canal may have lured the shark far from its natural habitat, making the situation both an environmental concern and a public spectacle.
Local authorities, guided by marine biologists, hope that this third effort will finally bring Bukangi safely back to the sea, providing a momentary reminder of how human infrastructure can inadvertently trap marine life.
