Ukrainian armed forces have confirmed a devastating missile attack carried out by Russia that struck a military training unit, leading to loss of life and injuries among servicemen. As reported late on Tuesday, three soldiers have died, with an additional 18 reported wounded. The exact location of the attack has not been disclosed by Ukrainian officials; however, journalist Andrei Taplienko indicated that it occurred in the Chernihiv region, situated north of Kyiv and adjacent to the borders of both Russia and Belarus.
In response to the strike, Russia’s Ministry of Defense has released footage purporting to depict the missile attack, claiming an Iskander ballistic missile caused significant collateral damage, with over 20 explosions reported. The validity of this footage remains unconfirmed, and Moscow has claimed that Ukrainian casualty figures are significantly understated.
