Officers acted quickly and apprehended the 36-year-old artist shortly after he was located at the hotel. The police indicated that the arrest is part of an ongoing investigation centering on an incident from February 19, 2023.

Witnesses and statements from injured parties suggest that Brown's alleged attack involved hitting Diaw over the head with a bottle, followed by further physical assaults as Diaw was on the ground. Mr. Diaw recounted that he suffered a serious injury that required hospitalization, resulting in him needing crutches to walk post-discharge.
