Yung Filly Faces Reckless Driving Charges While Awaiting Rape Trial
YouTuber and performer Yung Filly has been charged with reckless driving amid ongoing serious allegations against him.
YouTube star Yung Filly is currently embroiled in legal troubles as he faces new charges of reckless driving just as he awaits trial for serious accusations of sexual assault. Reports from Australia indicate that Barrientos, 29, was caught driving at a staggering 158 km/h (98 mph) on a Perth highway, surpassing the area’s speed limit of 100 km/h. This incident, which occurred on November 17 in High Wycombe, has drawn the attention of law enforcement, resulting in the impounding of his vehicle.
This reckless driving charge comes while Barrientos is already out on bail for separate allegations of rape stemming from an incident in September. According to police reports, he is accused of bringing a woman in her 20s to his hotel room after a performance at the nightclub Bar1 in Perth, leading to several serious charges against him.
Barrientos will face the court on November 19 where he is expected to answer not only to the reckless driving charge but also to four counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, and an additional count related to strangulation.
Known for his collaborations with the YouTube collective Beta Squad, Barrientos has gained fame through his entertaining content and various television appearances, including his participation in ITV's Soccer Aid and Channel 4's Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer. His work garnered him a Mobo Award for Best Media Personality in 2021.
As the cases against him unfold, both fans and critics are closely watching the developments. The BBC has reached out for comments from both Barrientos's representatives and local police but has not yet received a response.
