K-Pop Star Taeil Sentenced for Rape of Tourist

Former K-Pop idol Taeil, legally known as Moon Tae-il, was sentenced alongside two accomplices to three and a half years in prison for raping a Chinese tourist in Seoul last year. The Seoul Central District Court delivered its ruling after Taeil and his co-defendants pleaded guilty to the charges, which stemmed from an incident that occurred when they met the victim at a bar and later assaulted her at a private residence while she was incapacitated from alcohol.
