An autopsy into the tragic death of notable French streamer Raphaël Graven, known to his followers as Jean Pormanove, has revealed that trauma was not a factor, according to the prosecutor overseeing the situation. Graven was discovered deceased at a residence in Contes, situated north of Nice, on Monday, and his death has since garnered attention from government officials, including government minister Clara Chappaz, who condemned it as an "absolute horror" and indicated an unfolding judicial investigation.
Prosecutor Damien Martinelli provided updates on Thursday, stating that forensic assessments concluded that Graven’s death did not arise from traumatic causes or the involvement of any third parties. A thorough examination showed there were no significant internal or external traumatic injuries present, apart from a few minor bruises and previously healed skin lesions. The cause of death appears to be related to medical or toxicological factors, prompting the authorities to conduct further testing. It is speculated that Graven may have suffered from underlying heart issues alongside treatment for a thyroid condition.
In the wake of his passing, statements from Kick, the streaming platform where he showcased his content, indicated that the company was conducting an urgent review of the circumstances surrounding Graven's demise.
