Rapper Tory Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, is recovering in a hospital following an inmate stabbing incident that occurred early Tuesday morning at the California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi, approximately 75 miles north of Los Angeles. According to state corrections officials, Lanez was attacked while in a housing unit at the facility.
Prison staff reacted quickly, activating 911 and administering medical aid before Lanez was transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation confirmed that Lanez's injuries were reportedly non-life threatening, although specific details on his condition remain undisclosed.
