Emergency services have reported ongoing rescue operations, with many individuals feared trapped under the debris. President Luis Abinader has conveyed his sympathies to grieving families, while the director of the Emergency Operations Centre, Juan Manuel Méndez, indicated that ambulances made numerous trips to hospitals with victims.
