French police are currently interrogating a man in connection with the shocking discovery of four bodies in the River Seine, just southeast of central Paris. The first corpse was seen by a passer-by near a bridge in Choisy-le-Roi on August 13, prompting a police search that resulted in the finding of three additional bodies in the vicinity later that same day.

Prosecutors have revealed that one of the deceased had been strangled, while another exhibited signs of violent injuries. As the investigation unfolds, the suspect remains in custody in Paris; however, authorities have not disclosed specific details regarding his identity or the exact number of murders he may be implicated in.

The first body retrieved was identified as a local man in his 40s who had drowned relatively recently, while the other three bodies were found in significant states of decomposition, indicating they had been in the water for an extended period. Prosecutors have emphasized that, at this time, there is no evidence suggesting any connection between the victims, raising questions about how they ended up in the river. The prevailing theory is that they may have been submerged upstream and carried downstream by the current to the bridge in Choisy.
