Escalation in Ukraine: Russia's Massive Assault Meets Kyiv's Counterstrike

In a significant escalation of hostilities, Russia has launched a large-scale attack across Ukraine, resulting in casualties and infrastructure damage, while Ukrainian forces have targeted Russian oil refineries in retaliation.

Russia's recent overnight attack across 14 Ukrainian regions has led to the death of one individual and injuries to 30 others, while Kyiv responded by striking key oil refineries in Russia. Despite Moscow's claims of successfully repelling 20 Ukrainian drones, the Ukrainian military asserted that attacks on the Russian refineries were not only planned but indicated a sustained effort to disrupt Russian oil production.
