Donald Trump is the only world leader capable of stopping Vladimir Putin from threatening Europe, according to Poland's President Karol Nawrocki.
In an interview with Radio 4's Today programme, he stated that the Russian leader was untrustworthy, yet Europe must rally to support Trump in his efforts to end the conflict in Ukraine.
Nawrocki expressed his steadfast support for Trump and claimed that with Putin's regime posing a threat to Poland and Central Europe, Trump was uniquely positioned to solve this problem and end the war.
He referred to the September mass drone incursion into Polish airspace as an extraordinary situation, signaling a provocative test of both Poland's defenses and NATO's unity.
Nawrocki thanked the UK for providing RAF Typhoon jets to bolster Poland's borders, describing Poland's ongoing conflict with Russia as a hybrid war that has been escalating since 2021 with incursions of drones and disinformation.
Emphasizing the urgency of the situation, he stated, we are living in dangerous times due to Russia's grey zone activities.
The president reiterated his confidence in Trump's leadership amidst concerns of a potential European detachment from U.S. leadership, which could jeopardize both economic and military security in the region.
Nawrocki also expressed appreciation for the British soldiers stationed in Poland, underscoring the importance of Polish-British relations, especially with about one million Poles residing in the UK.
He concluded that while discussions surrounding recent tensions regarding Greenland should remain between the Danish Prime Minister and Trump, it's vital for Europe to shift its focus back to security issues over ideological ones.
