A man has been charged with murder after a seven-month-old baby died after being shot while sitting in her pushchair in New York. Amuri Greene, 21, has been charged with three counts of murder and one of attempted murder after police accused him of fatally shooting Kaori Patterson-Moore on April 1. Greene appeared in court on Friday where he pleaded not guilty. Officers believe the baby was the unintended victim of a gang-related shooting.

In connection with the same incident, police have arrested a second suspect, 18-year-old Matthew Rodriguez, in Pennsylvania, with pending charges. Footage from the scene shows two men on a motorcycle going against traffic before the shooting occurred, with officers suspecting Greene was that shooter riding on the back of the scooter. Following the shooting, Greene was thrown from the vehicle and later taken to the hospital. He was placed in police custody afterwards. Additionally, he faces other charges related to weapon possession and assault. Family and friends held a candlelight vigil at the shooting location to honor the memory of the young victim.
