Following an unusual incident in Los Angeles, award-winning rapper Lil Nas X has been hospitalized after being arrested for allegedly charging at police officers. Authorities reported that police were summoned to Ventura Boulevard around 5:30 AM on Thursday after witnesses described a man wandering the streets wearing only underwear.

According to a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), upon their arrival, the Grammy-winning artist attempted to confront the officers, leading to his arrest on suspicion of battery. Shortly after, he was taken to a medical facility for treatment related to a potential overdose.

Unverified footage surfaced on social media, reportedly showing the artist, known for his hit "Old Town Road," dancing on the street while clad only in his underwear and cowboy boots, boldly inviting passersby to "join the party."

Lil Nas X, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, is known for his trailblazing role in the music industry, becoming the first openly gay man to receive a Country Music Association award. His hit, "Old Town Road," made history by winning two Grammy Awards and setting a record for the longest consecutive number one song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Throughout his career, the artist has sparked debate and controversy, particularly regarding the music video for 2021's "Montero (Call Me By Your Name)," which faced backlash from conservative groups. In a playful jab at his critics, Lil Nas X once tweeted that he hoped their tears would fill his "Grammy cup," exemplifying his penchant for audacious responses to outrage.

As anticipation builds for his upcoming album "Dreamboy," scheduled for release later this year, fans and the public alike remain concerned for the artist's wellbeing following this alarming incident.
