A decade after her death, the voice of the iconic Australian rocker is set to return in a way the world never saw.
Former frontwoman Chrissy Amphlett, known for the Divinyls hit I Touch My‑Self‑M, had recorded three tracks with former Split Enz singer Tim Finn back in 1998.
Those songs had vanished from public memory until Finn discovered the original tapes tucked away in a garage in 2023.
The finds include contributions from drummer Charley Drayton, who would later become Amphlett’s partner, and a trio of songs written over the course of several days.
They will appear on an EP titled Some Times, slated for release this Friday, offering a fresh glimpse into Amphlett’s creative mind.
“It was a good time for us to meet because she was looking for something new, something different in her life musically,” Finn explained while reflecting on the 1998 session.
