Tehran reported strikes on targets in Jordan, Kuwait and Bahrain, marking a new phase of hostilities and putting pressure on a preliminary deal aimed at ending the conflict.
Meanwhile, the US military committed a series of strikes across multiple locations to undermine Iran’s ability to threaten shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
These exchanges followed President Donald Trump’s warning that Iran would face further military action if it does not resume negotiations.
US Central Command said its operations hit command centres, air‑defence sites, and coastal surveillance facilities in Iran, including Bandar Abbas and Greater Tunb Island.
Explosions were reported across Iran and air defences were triggered in Tehran. US allies in the Gulf reported drone attacks; Kuwait intercepted them and Bahrain advised citizens to remain calm and seek safety.
Iran’s forces also targeted US communications systems and fuel storage facilities in Jordan and fired on an unladen Curacao‑flagged oil tanker attempting to sail toward a blockaded Iranian port.
