Family Rescued After 16‑Hour Jet‑Ski Ordeal Off Koh Samui

A 50‑year‑old father and his two sons were rescued after being found adrift off the Thai island of Koh Samui. The family endured more than 16 hours floating at sea following a jet‑ski capsizing.

Local government official Amorn Chomchoey told AFP that the exhausted trio had swallowed large amounts of seawater. The father was noticeably pale, and the boys were even more noticeably pale due to dehydration and exposure.

The family received immediate medical attention after rescue and were checked in hospital. They were discharged shortly thereafter, with official reports indicating no lasting injuries.
