Yung Filly Faces Reckless Driving Charges Amid Ongoing Rape Allegations
YouTube Star Yung Filly Accused of Speeding While on Bail for Sexual Assault Case
YouTuber Yung Filly, born Andrés Felipe Valencia Barrientos, is embroiled in serious legal challenges, facing fresh charges of reckless driving while on bail for rape accusations in Australia. According to reports, the 29-year-old was allegedly caught speeding at 158 km/h (98 mph) on a highway in Perth last month, in direct violation of his bail conditions related to a separate case concerning an alleged assault on a woman.
The incident occurred on November 17 in the High Wycombe area, where the posted speed limit is 100 km/h, prompting police to impound Barrientos's vehicle. He is set to appear in court on November 19 to answer charges of reckless driving and to face serious allegations involving four counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, and one count related to restricting a person's normal breathing through neck pressure.
The rape allegations stem from an incident in September, during which it is claimed that Barrientos brought a woman in her twenties back to his hotel room following a performance at the Bar1 nightclub in Perth, as part of his Australian tour. Yung Filly gained fame as a member of the popular YouTube collective Beta Squad and has also appeared on shows such as ITV's Soccer Aid and Channel 4's Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer. In 2021, he was honored with a Mobo Award for Best Media Personality, highlighting his influence in the entertainment sector prior to these legal troubles.
As the situation unfolds, Barrientos's team, as well as the police, have been approached for comments regarding the ongoing legal proceedings.
