Active-Duty Special Forces Soldier Found Dead After Exploding Cybertruck Incident

In a shocking incident outside President-elect Donald Trump's Las Vegas hotel, a Tesla Cybertruck exploded, leaving one man dead and several others injured. The identified victim, Matthew Alan Livelsberger, a 37-year-old active-duty US special forces soldier from Colorado, was believed to be the only individual in the vehicle at the time of the explosion.

Las Vegas police confirmed Livelsberger rented the Cybertruck in Denver and drove it to Las Vegas. While they await DNA confirmation, officials say they are fairly certain the remains found in the car are his. The body was severely burned, and a gunshot wound to the head is currently being treated as self-inflicted, according to Las Vegas Sheriff Kevin McMahill.

The explosion, which occurred after Livelsberger drove into a parking area, injured seven individuals, all of whom suffered only minor injuries. The vehicle was discovered filled with fuel canisters and firework mortars, leading authorities to suspect the air of intentionality. Sheriff McMahill stated, “I’m comfortable calling it a suicide with a bombing that occurred immediately after.”

Livelsberger, who had a long career in the military and was serving on active duty since December 2012, had recently been on leave to visit family. His father reported that he had spoken to his son around Christmas and indicated that everything seemed normal at that time. Livelsberger was stationed in Germany and had returned to Colorado to see his wife and eight-month-old daughter.
