Kid Cudi Accuses Diddy of Threatening Behavior and Attacks in Ongoing Trial
Rapper Kid Cudi testified at Diddy’s trial, alleging the music mogul was behind threats and attacks against him, including a Molotov cocktail incident.
Rapper Kid Cudi, whose legal name is Scott Mescudi, became a significant witness in the ongoing trial of Sean "Diddy" Combs, sharing harrowing details of alleged threats and violent incidents linked to the music mogul. On Thursday, Mescudi testified for approximately two hours, recounting his relationship with Combs' ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, who had previously testified in the case. During his testimony, Mescudi implicated Combs in a Molotov cocktail attack that severely damaged his Porsche, claiming that the incident occurred shortly after his romantic involvement with Ventura had ended.
Mescudi explained that in December 2011, he received a distressing call from Ventura, who feared for her safety after Combs allegedly learned about their relationship. After picking Ventura up and taking her to a hotel for safety, Mescudi claimed he discovered Combs and another individual inside his Los Angeles home during a phone call. Upon arriving, he found evidence of a break-in, with his security cameras pointed in the wrong direction and personal belongings disturbed.
The testimony took a darker turn when Mescudi recounted the moment in January 2012 when he received news that his car had been set ablaze by a Molotov cocktail. He described arriving at his home to see a hole in the roof of his Porsche and the interior charred, asserting that he believed Combs was behind the attack, a claim the music mogul has subsequently denied.
In addition to Mescudi’s allegations, the trial included testimony from makeup artist Mylah Morales, who expressed fears for her life after witnessing injuries on Ventura. The general manager of a hotel frequently booked by Combs also described instances of odd behavior and damage associated with Diddy’s stays. As the trial continues to unfold, more testimonies are expected, including from an individual involved in the alleged break-in at Mescudi's home, set to occur next week. Diddy's future hangs in the balance as he faces serious charges, including racketeering and sex trafficking, to which he has pleaded not guilty.
