Four teenagers have been arrested in connection with a series of burglaries that notably included the ransacking of actor Brad Pitt's residence, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Chief Jim McDonnell reported that the suspects, comprising two 18-year-olds, a 17-year-old, and a 16-year-old, are affiliated with a street gang and are believed to be responsible for multiple "celebrity burglaries" in the community.
While police have not officially disclosed all the celebrities affected, it has emerged that stars such as Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban, and ex-LA Football Club player Olivier Giroud are among those who have experienced break-ins in recent months.
The investigation began this past June, following an incident where Pitt's home was invaded by a group of masked thieves who breached a perimeter fence and shattered a window to gain entry. Although police have not confirmed that the raided property indeed belongs to Pitt, its location aligns with a recent purchase he made. The residence, located near Griffith Park and the Hollywood Sign, is situated behind a fence providing additional privacy.
At the time of the burglary, Pitt was away, engaged in promoting his latest film, "F1." Officers working on the investigation tracked the suspects before proceeding to arrest them on charge of burglary. They also recovered stolen property from searches conducted at the suspects’ homes.
