More than 500 individuals have sustained injuries from a massive explosion in the southern Iranian city of Bandar Abbas, with numerous people reported trapped under debris.

 

At least 500 individuals have been injured following a large explosion that rocked the Shahid Rajee Port area in Bandar Abbas, Iran, as reported by state media. The incident occurred early on Saturday morning, shattering windows of nearby offices and triggering a hurried response from rescue workers attempting to evacuate victims to hospitals.

While no casualties have been confirmed thus far, the explosion has left many lying wounded on the streets, with some trapped beneath partially collapsed structures. Witnesses described the chaotic scene, noting that a major fire continues to burn in the port vicinity, filling the air with thick, black smoke visible from a considerable distance.
