Norwegian authorities confirmed on Friday that Marius Borg Høiby, the stepson of the future king, is facing allegations surrounding serious offenses, including three accusations of rape and an additional 23 charges. The 28-year-old, who does not hold a royal title or official responsibilities, was arrested multiple times throughout 2024, commencing with a significant arrest on August 4. According to police attorney Andreas Kruszewski, the investigations were detailed, involving numerous witness testimonies, extensive searches, and a review of digital materials. Høiby’s attorney, Petar Sekulic, stressed that Høiby was fully cooperative but disputed most allegations, particularly those related to sexual misconduct. Some accusations have already been dismissed based on the statute of limitations or evidentiary issues. While the Royal House of Norway acknowledged the ongoing legal proceedings, they refrained from making further comments regarding the matter.
