Supermodel Cindy Crawford has said she and her family are "beyond heartbroken" over the death of her son Presley Gerber.

On Instagram she posted: "He is a sweet, beautiful soul who loved and is loved, now and forever," next to a black‑and‑white photo of him. She added, "We are so proud of how he showed up in the world, with kindness and vulnerability."

The 27‑year‑old died on 20 September at a California rehab facility. Police said the death is being investigated as a suspected overdose and that the Med Examiner has the case pending further inquiry. The San Antonio Police Department has ruled out foul play.

Presley had followed the family’s legacy into fashion, debuting on the Moschino runway at just 16. He frequently shared his mental‑health journey on Instagram, appending the hashtag "Mental Health Mondays" to his posts.

In her tribute, Crawford thanked fans and strangers alike for their support, writing, "We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support from so many who know and love our family and even strangers who feel our pain." She closed with an angel‑wing emoji, promising, "Til we meet again our sweet boy. We love you forever, Mom, Dad and Kaia."

Kaia Gerber also released a video of the siblings dancing as children and a handwritten, four‑page letter to her brother. She reflected on the sound of his first ear‑piercing and the grief of not being able to hold him any longer.

The father, Rande Gerber, co‑founded the Casamigos tequila brand with George Clooney, and has spoken publicly about his son’s struggles. The family’s grief is public, yet the investigation remains open, with authorities urging anyone affected by related issues to seek help.
