CCTV footage captured civilians in the terminal of King Khalid International Airport taking cover as a missile struck the building on Saturday, killing 14 people and injuring more than 300. The attack follows a series of earlier strikes this week, widening the impact of the regional conflict.
The Iranian‑backed Houthi movement in Yemen claims responsibility, saying that they targeted Saudi airports with a mix of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and drones. They warned airlines and passengers against using Saudi airspace and announced that all Saudi airports, except those in Mecca and Medina, remain potential targets.
Eyewitness footage shows people scrambling for shelter, the sound of shrapnel, and emergency services rushing to the scene. Authorities in Riyadh are coordinating with security forces to assess the damage and to secure the airport for continued flight operations.
