Authorities have named the suspect as Michael Paul Brown, urging the public to consider him "armed and dangerous." A chilling message was issued by the Anaconda-Deer Lodge County Law Enforcement Center, advising anyone who sees Brown not to approach and to instead contact 911. Local officials have instructed residents to stay indoors and secure their homes.
The Granite County Sheriff's Office has provided details on the suspect's appearance, stating that he was last seen wearing a tie-dyed shirt, blue jeans, and an orange bandana. A search of Brown's residence in Anaconda was conducted by a SWAT team, which has since been cleared.
