Meghan Markle Launches New Online Shop Featuring Her Fashion Favorites
The Duchess of Sussex has unveiled a digital platform showcasing a curated selection of her beloved clothing and accessories, bridging the gap between high fashion and accessible style.
Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has officially launched a new online shop that allows her fans to purchase a carefully curated selection of her favorite clothing and accessories. Announcing the initiative via her 2.6 million Instagram followers, Meghan referred to her style as "high-low," emphasizing her penchant for blending high-end designer pieces with more accessible fashion.
Tagged under the ShopMy platform, which caters to "elite creators," Meghan’s shop features affiliate links, meaning she will earn a commission on certain sales, possibly as high as 30%. The collection, which Meghan described as a "handpicked and curated collection of the things I love," aims to respond to the numerous requests she has received about sharing her wardrobe inspirations.
Previously, items worn by Meghan have quickly sold out following her appearances. For instance, a white coat by the Canadian brand Line the Label, worn when announcing her engagement to Prince Harry in November 2017, famously crashed the brand's website due to high demand. A month later, a £500 ($675) midi tote bag by Strathberry sold out within just 11 minutes.
The newly unveiled online collection consists of 32 pieces, predominantly featuring neutral tones like white, beige, light blue, and black. The assortment includes natural fabrics such as linen and cashmere, showcasing staples like the "perfect" white cotton t-shirt, a striped blue "boyfriend" shirt, and elegant evening wear like a full-length ivory dress.
Additionally, the collection features brands like Theory, Reformation, Polene, and Madewell, along with budget-friendly selections, such as a £99 trench coat from Uniqlo and leather sandals from Saint Laurent priced at £595.
ShopMy reports that commissions from sales generally range between 10% and 30% depending on the brand or retailer. Moreover, the platform enables creators to discover and manage paid collaboration opportunities with over 47,000 brands.
This latest venture from the Duchess follows her recent Netflix lifestyle show, which showcases her home life and culinary pursuits. Additionally, Meghan had previously launched her lifestyle brand, originally called American Riviera Orchard and now rebranded as As Ever, focusing on artisan products. Notably, the Duchess also ran her lifestyle blog, The Tig, for three years before it was discontinued prior to her engagement announcement.
As Markle continues to explore the realms of fashion, lifestyle, and entrepreneurship, her latest digital shop sets a new platform for engaging with her audience while earning commissions through her carefully chosen recommendations.
